Doctor's Profile

Dr. Wong graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1995. Then he joined the Neurosurgery Department of Princess Margaret Hospital for 22years. He got Fellow in Neurosurgery in 2004.

Dr. Wong had special interest in Minimally Invasive and Endoscopic Neurosurgery, so he had further Fellowship training in Italy and Germany in 2010.

Dr. Wong setup a combined endoscopic skull base team with ENT surgeon and had spent most of time in development and service enhancement in the field of Minimally Invasive and Endoscopic Neurosurgery.

Besides clinical work, Dr. Wong also promoted his field in different local and overseas academic meeting, conferences and workshops. He played an active role in teaching medical students, residents and higher surgical trainee. He was consultant neurosurgeon before he left Hospital Authority.

Dr. Wong was ex-member of filmless project and ex-project holder of 3D neuroendoscopy of Hospital Authority Head Quarter. He was ex-Council member of The Hong Kong Neurosurgical Society.

He was currently the observer at conjoint examination of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong. He was senior Grade V officer in Auxiliary Medical Services. He will collaborate with The Chinese University of Hong Kong to have the first Hong Kong Baltic Sea Endoscopic Neurosurgery workshop and act as the first programme director.
